Betania Hernández Quartet

It is in this format that the composer and violinist manages to express different facets of her works. Always starting from rhythm as the generative impulse of her discourse, Hernández creates diverse textures, discursively exploring a unique language rich in universal music, free jazz, and Latin American music. The quartet has performed at the Curitiba Jazz Festival and at Fábrica Braço de Prata in Lisbon. Led by the Venezuelan artist, the ensemble already has one album and hundreds of live performances.
