María Betania Hernández

Master in Interdisciplinary Latin American Studies from UNILA, Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. Bachelor of Composition from the National University of the Arts (UNEARTE) in Caracas, Venezuela. Recognized for her distinguished career as a composer, producer, and violinist, the Venezuelan artist gained prominence by being awarded in the prestigious Leading Ladies program of the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation (2024). She currently has two phonographic works: Pasos del Viento (2022) and Luna, Sol, Mar y Estrellas (2024), both produced under the Hernández Productora label. Furthermore, Hernández has received several accolades and awards, such as 2nd place in the Jazz Solo Cwb Competition (Curitiba, Brazil), the Trayectorias UNESPAR Award (Paraná, Brazil), and her participation as a One Beat Fellow (U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs). The artist has performed in Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Paraguay, Brazil, Germany, Portugal, and Cuba.
